I created some pre-service goals and plan to review/update them during mid service and close of service. I think this will be one of the many ways to reflect on the inevitable changes as I progress through this adventure.

• My initial goals for PST (pre-service training) are to learn the basics of Darija (obviously) as understanding the language and cultural nuances will help me better integrate and engage with my new community
• Pass PST and be sworn in as an official volunteer
• Gain sustained fieldwork experience and develop a more nuanced understanding of the project design cycle and implementation
• Develop more confidence with public speaking
• Promote literacy program or project
• At my permanent site location, if possible, I would like to rent my own apartment and learn how to manage all that comes with that
• Navigate public transportation alone
• Cook a traditional Moroccan meal
• Travel within the country
• Take at least one trip beyond Morocco (Egypt? Maybe somewhere in Europe?
